Color Dare #45

Color Dare #45 is for those Dream Pop kits you got during the month of May! The challenge is to create using those colors....any one or all of them! I created this Dream Pop layout for a blog hop. It's just perfect for the Color Dare Challenge as well, so I'm sharing it again! If you want more ideas using the Dream Pop papers click here to view the hop featuring Dream Pop!

The layout uses two of the patterned pages as a base. Some of the strips are part of the base page and a few I added to continue the design. Our Cricut Art Philosophy was used to cut ovals & circles to make the flowers, as well as the butterflies, stem and cloud shapes, too. I stamped on the clouds for some texture with the In the Background stamp set. Sections of a Sparkle Flourish were cut to accent the flight of the butterflies. A clever journaling idea is to create a pocket with a treat bag for the journaling tag to slide into. The large butterfly is the "pull". When you put your layout in the page protector just cut a slit and keep the butterfly on the outside for easy use to pull out the journaling tag!
