Color Dare #86: Ponderosa Pine, New England Ivy, Goldrush

It's time for another Color Dare from the Design Team over at
This week we're challenging you with the colors of Ponderosa Pine,
New England Ivy and Goldrush.

My card was inspired by one I saw on Laura's Cards and More.
It was such a clean and simple design. It's also a great idea for those
scraps you end up with! Take a look!

I used the Timberline papers for this Color Dare. The houndstooth pattern really isn't a gold rush color. Since that was one of the designated colors, I got out my sponge and ink pad and very quickly I had strips of gold rush houndstooth paper! The strips are 1/2" wide and simply woven together. Hint: I used some adhesive on just one end before weaving. This helped keep the strips in line and once woven I glued down the other end.

  1. Love your paper weaving. I've seen quilting and weaving so far with these colors. Love it; love the rustic feel. :)

  2. Great weaving! And also fabulous idea to ink the Houndstooth to make it Goldrush.
