Color Dare #141: Glacier, Olive, Hollyhock, Chocolate & Kraft

This week's Color My Heart color dare brings a color option in the line up. You can use Chocolate or Cocoa.

First of all, let me apologize for the lighting in the photo. It doesn't do the card justice or show the true colors that were used. So go by my description more than the photo when it comes to the colors.

I started by embossing with the Honeycomb folder but inked the inside with Cocoa ink first. That gave me the color in the grooves to contrast with the Kraft cardstock. Then I stamped images from the Finding the Words stamp set in the dare colors. The Glacier ink is hard to see in the photo, but its there! The message layer is Olive, Hollyhock and a Kraft banner with the message stamped in Cocoa and the banner edges sponged in Cocoa, too. I added some Brown Sparkles on each end of the banner to finished it off.

All products are Close To My Heart:
--Stamp Set: Finding the Words
--Inks: Cocoa, Olive, Hollyhock, Glacier
--Cardstock: Kraft, Olive, Hollyhock
--Sponge Dauber
--Brown Sparkles
--Honeycomb embossing folder*

*used with a Cuttlebug machine

  3. I really need to try inking the embossing folder technique. I really like the way your card turned out and love the stamped images in the honeycomb.
