Color Dare #171 ~ Cranberry & Pear + White & Gold

This week the Design Team at Color My Heart has a festive color combination! At least I thought it was a festive combination!

This is a standard size card (4.25" x 5.5"). I embossed two layers with the Damask embossing folder  using the Square Diffuser on the top layer then layered them on Gold Glitter paper. Tip: Use Liquid Glass to adhere cardstock...or anything....to glitter paper. I stamped the cute little tree in Pear ink and added a gold glitter star from the Gold Fundamental Assortment. The heart is actually red so I darkened it to more of a Cranberry tone with our Cherry Pink ShinHan marker.

OH.... I almost forgot! I didn't use full layers of the gold glitter paper! I cut the paper to the sized I needed then cut out the center leaving 1/2" for the outer edge...like a frame! Saves on glitter paper, cardstock, etc!

  1. Wow, great card. Very striking. Great use of the square diffuser. Looks like I will need to get one of those. =) And I love the red enamel heart on the tree.

  2. I love how you used the diffuser. The embossed paper looks great over gold glitter paper. Great job, Michelle--thanks for inspiring us this week!
