Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Easter Bunny

Welcome to our February Stamp of the Month Hop! This month we have an absolutely adorable stamp set called Happy Easter. The bunny images are way too cute to pass on!

If you've come from Gina Brandstetter's blog you're on the right path. Just click on the link in each post to move to the next blog. It's one big circle though, so you really can't get lost! At the end of my post you'll find a link to a list of all participating consultants if you'd like to check that out.

The idea for this card came to me as I was falling asleep. All the details just kept flowing and the best part is I remembered it all in the morning! Hahaha. So I got busy and put the idea to work with a few tweaks here and there from my original thoughts.

First was to stamp the bunnies in Archival Black ink. I knew I'd be using watercolor pencils and a water brush on the images to blend, so it needed to be permanent ink.  The background papers are from the Whimsy Fundamentals pack and the tree from the Rustic Home Fundamentals pack. I did some distressing, too. Ink distressing on the tree and bushes. Scissor distressing on the hole in the tree. I also curved the grass stamp before stamping 1st and 2nd generation grass. Another technique was to use the water brush and some Whisper ink to create a shadow under Mommy bunny so she would look grounded rather than floating in air.

By the way.... Easter Bunny is only available February 1-28, 2017. That's how it works with a stamp of the month! You can get yours now on my website!
