Color Dare #244 ~ Sea Glass, Canary, Juniper, Thistle with Black & White, Optional Silver

The Design Team at Color My Heart has a color challenge for you to try out. Each Friday we go live with a new color challenge we call a Color Dare. To participate in the Color Dare you need to use ALL and ONLY the colors unless otherwise stated. BUT if you don't have an exact color you can substitute something close. Full details on how to create and share are in the post on our home page.

I made this cute card using paper and zip borders from the Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way package.  I first stamped the unicorn and then used the Thin Cuts to cut it out. You can do it the reverse and stamp after cutting, but stamping first works better for me. The bottom strips are all from Zip Borders. These are the decorative edges on each sheet of pattern paper.  The heart is from the Compliments which is included in the Workshop Your Way as are the glitter gems. You can buy all these items individually or as a package in the WYW.
TIP: When adhereing something on top of glitter paper/tape it's best to use Liquid Glass or as I did here, Thin 3D Foam Tape.

The sketch I used was made by Michelle Stewart.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way
  • Little Dreamer Cardmaking Bundle
  • White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack
  • Exclusive Inks: Thistle, Glacier, Canary, Juniper
  • Embellishments: Silver Glitter Paper Journal Pen, Thin 3D Foam Tape
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If  you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too.

Now it's your turn to create and share! It's easy and fun because we get you started by picking the colors for you. We LOVE to see your creations! Don't forget to check the post on our Color My Heart home page.

Have a great day!
Michelle

  1. What a great idea to go back to a favorite sketch...the zip strips were a great idea for that layout and of course who doesn't like Little Dreamer PaperPack.

  2. Thanks Sue. I loved using the zip strips this way. I don't think to use them often enough!
