CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Embellishment Envy

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop for May! Each month we feature a different technique for your paper crafting pleasure! This month we're featuring embellishments and the different ways to use them.

If you've come from the blog of Annemarie Julian you're on the right track. Just keep clicking the links in each post to continue on the hop.

I don't really have an "outside of the box" embellishment technique on this card, but I really love how it turned out overall and thought I'd share.

This is the stamp set from Live Beautifully, our May special. Stamping in black is kind of bold but the way it's embellished makes a big difference! I used the Gold Shimmer Brush to accent the petals of the flower mush as you'd do if you were painting with other colors. The gold is supposed to be mimicking the shadow part of the flower petals. I'd also included some Gold Glitter Gems and Gold Foil Tape to keep the theme going.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Live Beautifully stamp set
  • Live Beautifully Paper pack
  • Exclusive Inks: Black
  • Cardstock: White Daisy
  • White Cards and Envelopes Value pack
  • Embellishments: Gold Shimmer Pen, Gold Glimmer Gems, Gold Foil Tape, Thin 3D Foam Tape
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too.

Now it's time to over to the blog of Melissa Robinson for more inspiration!

Have a great day!
Michelle
