Joyful Start Blog Hop ~ December

Welcome to our monthly blog hop featuring anything goes. That means a variety of great ideas! If you've come from Marie Flayer's blog you're on the right path. Just keep clicking on the links in each post to continue on the hop. Let's get started.

I've been working in miniature lately and created some mini canvas art. The canvas on the left is 3" x 3" and the one on the right is 2.5" x 3.5". That might now sound too "mini" until you start making the flowers to go on a canvas that size! LOL

The flowers are only about 1-1.25" tall. I used our Cricut Flower Market to cut them out. The containers for the flowers were cut with cardstock and Vellum to simulate glass. On the tulips I used some Clear Shimmer Brush on the petals. The canvas I painted a watercolor background.

These products are Close To My Heart:
  • Cricut Flower Market
  • Cardstock: Flaxen, Bashful, Pomegranate, Fern/ Flaxen, New England Ivy, Poppy, Ruby, Nutmeg
  • Watercolor Paints
  • Specialty Paper: Vellum
  • Thin 3D Foam Tape
  • Shimmer Brush-Clear
Other products:
  • Mini Canvas
  • Wood Easel
If you need a consultant I 'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too.

I hope I've inspired you to try some mini canvases. They are fun and SO cute! Now it's time to hop over and see what Joyce Houck is sharing today.

Thanks for hopping by!
Michelle

  1. I love your project with canvas, you inspired me to buy some 8x8 canvas to make for Christmas gifts. Thanks for this post and your previous post with the 12x12 Noel canvas.

  3. Now, why haven't I thought to make mini canvas items yet? Thanks for sparking my creative juices once again. Both of your floral canvases are lovely! The vellum was a great choice.
