CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Blushing Backgrounds

There are SO many ways to create a background using stamps. We hope the ideas in this hop will inspire you to look at your stamps in a different way and give it a try.

I had internet issues when this hop went live and it didn't resolve until it was too late for join the hop. But you can still view the hop for great ideas if you click here.

Some stamp images are designed to be used for backgrounds, but I feel you can use just about any stamp image for a background effect. Here I used just one image from the Mother's Garden set to create a random background. You can leave it just stamped like I did on the inside of the card or color it in as I did on the front. To create a random look background you actually stamp in a very specific way. Stamp your first three images in a triangle pattern then keep adding more images building triangles as you go. You can use one, two or more images, too. If you have small images you can put them all on one acrylic block to make it go faster and easier.
I used watercolor pencils to color and then lightly went over it with a water brush. You can create a very simple background or very detailed. The sky's the limit!
