May 2018 Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to the May blog hop by the Joyful Stars group of consultants. It's an anything goes hop so you never know what you'll find for inspiration! If you came from the blog of Betty Locco you're doing great. Click the link at the end of each post to hop to the next blog.

This is a fun card I made for a little boy I know.
It's a combination of stenciling, sponging and stamping.

I created a stencil with an image from our Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge. I used a bit of Washi Tape to hold the cardstock behind the stencil cardstock then sponged the stars and sentiment. After that I could see where I wanted to stamp the spaceship and planet. I used the journal pen to doodle around the edge. When sponging I wiped the sponge dauber across the ink pad then pounced in the openings on the stencil. You can also use our round sponge cut into 6-8 wedges for sponging. You have a bit more control of ink placement with the sponge daubers though.
