Butterfly Friendship ~ Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Starts Blog Hop. It's an anything goes style so you'll be seeing a variety of fun and creative ideas! Sit back and enjoy! If you've come from the blog of Joyce Gough you're on the right path. Just keep clicking on the link in each post to hop to the next blog for more ideas.

I love this butterfly set! With it you can create such beautiful butterflies AND cut them out using Thin Cut dies! I used a pattern in our how-to book called Make It from Your Heart Volume 4 (pattern19). The Feels Like Home paper pack is my favorite in our catalog especially the flower paper in the corners. Since I wanted to use that paper I picked my colors based on what you see in the flowers. I stamped the three butterflies in Intense Black ink and used the fill-in images to color each one. The largest was stamped with Sugarplum ink twice because I wanted a darker tone. The middle butterfly with Pixie ink and the smallest with Sugarplum just once. I also splattered some Sugarplum Shimmer Brush on the white area of the card front. Each butterfly was also covered with Clear Shimmer Brush so they sparkle and shimmer.
