New Product Blog Hop!

Welcome to our New Product Blog Hop! We're featuring products from our new January-February catalog and you're going to love it!

The hop is one big circle so you can hop on and off as you like but you aren't going to want to miss anything! The blog before mine belongs to Brandi Robinson. Click on the links in each post to go to the next blog in the hop.

I LOVE sunsets! No, I really LOVE sunsets! I especially love it when trees are silhouettes in the sunset. I felt the4 new Spruced Up - Scrapbooking stamp set had some great images to capture the look I wanted. I got busy making a stencil so I could create the sunset. It's a 3" square which is a good fit for a standard size card. Here is a close up of each style card I made. After you'll find steps for the sunset.

Stencil on the cardstock. The cardstock is taped to the pad so it doesn't slip around.

Sponge the Canary ink along the bottom to start the sunset making it a bit darker in the corners.

Next add some Nectarine ink and blend into the Canary a bit.

Now it's time for the Sangria ink. Blend by making edges darker and bring the color down the side a bit.

This is what it looks like when you remove the stencil!
Once the sunset is made you can stamp the trees in black leaving some of the tree off the edge of the sunset. On the cabin ones I stamped and used the coordinating Thin Cut die to cut it out. I then placed the cabin at the bottom of the sunset . The final step was to add some shimmer for snow. I used both the Clear Shimmer Brush and then added some Diamond Stickles, too. I LOVE how these cards turned out and can't wait to share them with someone. I left the inside blank for now and will add a sentiment once I know the occasion.
