Color Dare #233 ~ Sea Glass, Peacock, Pomegranate with Black and White

Welcome to a new color dare challenge from the Design Team at Color My Heart. This week we bring you the colors Sea Glass, Peacock, Pomegranate with Black and White. Here is my creation using these colors.

First I used a sponge dauber to color the butterfly. I tapped the inks right onto the stamp. After stamping the butterfly I used the coordinating Thin Cuts to cut it out. No fussy cutting! Once the stamp was cleaned I flipped it over and put it back on the block with the back of the image up. I inked it up with the black ink and stamped on scrap paper 2 times then stamped on the cardstock. This gave me a nice 3rd generation image....and a perfect shadow for the butterfly! Hint: when using glitter paper as a background layer I cut to size then cut out the center. That leaves a border of the glitter paper and saves the inside for another project!

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Stamp set: Dreamin' Big Cardmaking set
  • Cardstock: White Daisy, Sea Glass Glitter Paper
  • Exclusive Inks: Sea Glass, Peacock, Pomegranate
  • Embellishments: Black & White Dots, Bitty Sparkles
  • Thin 3D Foam Tape
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too!

Ok, now it's your turn! Create something using these colors....and only these colors.... and share it! Details are in the post on our home page. It's fun and easy AND we love to see what you create!

Have fun creating!
Michelle

  5. great tip on the glitter paper cut...I don't usually use it as an entire background because the glue does not hold good and such a waste, so maybe I'll use it more often and cut a frame with cricut. Love your butterfly and trail of flight. Pretty card.
