The Sweet Life Layout ~ Color Dare #397

Yea, it's Friday! That means a new challenge from the Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare! This week we're using the colors in an inspirational photo for our challenge. Pick colors you see IN the photo to create any paper craft you like. You can also use Black, White and Neutrals but do not add any other colors to the palette.  So look closely at the photo because I didn't see the touch of green along the top at first! But remember, don't add colors not in the photo!

I've been catching up on my scrapbooking lately and decided these photos were perfect for this challenge. My granddaughter is about 8 years older now than in the photos but that doesn't matter. She loved being outside and playing in her little pool. With Pa home to play with us things were even more fun.

I used our Close To My Heart Cricut collection called Everyday Moments. This is a collection of layouts and cards that you can size to whatever you like. As the title says, it covers all kinds of everyday events. This is sized to 12" x 12". The fruit slices were actually easy to do. All you have to do is glue the  cut pieces to the back of the white cut out. After that it's ready to glue to the base. I didn't use a couple of the design features because it didn't fit with my photos. That's the great part about scrapbooking.....making it your own!

By the way..... did you know I'm a Cricut affiliate now? You can get Everyday Moments by clicking the link at the top right of the page! One click and it will bring you to ALL the Close To My Heat Cricut Collections, both NEW and RETIRED! From there you also have access to ALL things Cricut!

The only embellishment I used was to add some sequins. The journaling was done on the white strips.  It may not look like it but it's a very easy layout to put together!

Close To My Products used on this layout
  • Cricut: Everyday Moments
  • Cardstock: White Daisy, Sapphire, Ballerina, Sweet Leaf, Lemonade
  • Embellishments: Craft On Sequins - retired (Check the online only section of my website)
  • Tools: Journal Pen, Tombow Liquid Glue
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I'd love to have you on my team!

Now it's your turn to pick colors you see in the photo and create something to share with us at Color My Heart Color Dare. The Linky tool is in the post on our home page along with full details. We can't wait to see what you create!

Have fun!
Michelle
