Silver and Gold — Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly Technique Blog Hop. This month we are featuring ways of using Silver and Gold as our technique.

I love pairing Silver and Gold together so this hop is exciting! I also love the look of dry embossing on our foil cardstocks. So with that in mind I got busy creating.

I experimented a bit with which way to use the Silver and Gold as my layers. Ultimately I decided to use Silver as the accent as you can see. I die cut a small piece of Silver and adhered it to the Gold then put the layers in the folder for embossing. I love the way the die cut edges look between the layers. It's so much better than just straight cut pieces.

Once it was embossed and adhered to the card front I added some accents with Glitter Glue. It's a small touch but really does add a lot to the overall look. With the beauty of the card front I decided a sentiment would not add to the look and kept that part for the inside of the card. Sometimes you just need to let the card front speak for itself.

Close up of the beautiful details. The Silver Glitter Glue doesn't show as well on the Gold Foil but still adds some sparkle.
