Shake Things Up! - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

We have a really fun hop for you this month....SHAKERS! You can make a shaker card or have a shaker element on your scrapbook page! Either way it's a lot of fun!

If you came from Michelle Johns blog you're doing fine. Just keep clicking the link in each post to continue along on the hop. So sit back and relax and get ready for a bunch of great ideas!

My card is based on an idea I saw ..... well.....somewhere either on FB or Pinterest. It's a standard size card (5.5" x 4.25") with a top fold. The shaker part is easier than you think to make. The ONE thing to remember is that the foam is very sticky and when you place anything on it it's going to stick right away. So just be careful with that part and you'll be fine.

Let's make a Shaker Sandwich!
Step 1: Die cut the bottom circle and adhere it to your project.
Step 2: Carefully peel the paper off the foam circle and place on top of the bottom circle.
Step 3: Take the window circle and remove the protective film by using a piece of tape to lift it off.
Step 4: Place shaker stuff inside the foam ring. Sequins, thin cut shapes, etc. It doesn't take much.
Step 5: Place the window circle on top of the foam ring.
Step 6: Die cut the decorative circle and using adhesive place on top of the window circle.
That's your basic shaker sandwich. There a ton of ways you can change up the look but the sandwich will be the same.

I added some antlers, red nose and black dots to create a reindeer look with my shaker. The sentiment was cut from Cricut Artiste.
