Hello! Welcome to samples of another Team Challenge. This one is Blackout Bingo. I'm starting with #5 with the theme of a Floral Birthday Card.
Immediately I knew I wanted to use the Extraordinary Flora products for this theme. The questions was what the design would look like. As I was drifting off to sleep last night this idea came to me. Does that happen to you? I do that a lot and most of the time those ideas are some of the best!
I started with a top fold card and embossed it. I gave a light touch of shading with a gray ink and blending brush. It reminds me of the look of stucco. Anyway, I wanted it to stand out a bit from the base and bring out the detail of the embossing folder.
Next I cut out an arch shape for a window. Now it's reminding me more of a castle. I stamped the text on the card base because I didn't want the arch blank but I wanted it to be subtle.
Stamping the sentiments on a gold foiled frame gave a touch of elegance. I used one end of the frame so now I have a piece for a future project. I actually cut the stamp apart so I could stamp the words to fit the frame.
Next came flowers. I put one section of the washi tape on a piece white cardstock. Using the die from the bundle I was able to cut all the flowers at once! How great is that? I placed flowers around the arch. I added some of our new loose gold sequins to tie in with the frame. Balancing your accents is always a win-win!

The bundle includes the stamp set and die. I didn't use the stamp set this time but you'll be seeing a lot of ideas with it in future projects.
The washi tape is amazing! It's 3-1/4" wide by 10 yards long! Yes I said yards! It's a great buy and you're going to love it. It has a section of flowers in pinks and one in purples. The sections are the same size as the die. I put the extra flowers in a little container to use later.
The stamp set is a great way to add texture to a design. You can ink it bold or very light depending on how you want it to enhance your design.
Another great set but this time I used it simply for the Happy Birthday sentiment. It was just the right size and style for my design. As I mentioned, I did cut the words apart so I could fit it on the frame. When I want to use it as a long sentiment I'll just put the two pieces on the block cozied up to each other.
Look at all that great texture in this embossing folder! It looks great on white or colors and will add a great touch to your projects.
In mu opinion this set of dies is an absolute must for any crafter! I love all the ways you can use them other than the obvious. You'll see this die set in a lot of my work.
I used this tool to place the sequins. The putty tip works great for picking up sequins or gems. When glue is involved this tool really helps a lot! It comes with the other tips you see here. All you have to do is switch them out. There are some other tips sold separately, too.
Can you imagine all the ways to use these frames and tags? A variety of sizes and shapes gives you all kinds of options. You can even do as I did and use part of a piece. A great way to add a touch of elegance.
