Relaxing Waterside Retreat Card

How about another idea using Relaxing Waterside Retreat? Yesterday I used the Suite and today I'll use the Bundle. What's the difference you ask? The Suite has the complete selection of coordinating products. The bundle has a stamp set and dies, giving you a 10% discount off the individual prices. All products in a Suite or Bundle can be purchased individually if you'd rather pick and choose.

This card was inspired by on shared by Amy K. I did do a couple tweaks of my own. that's what crafting and sharing is all about!

The wood pattern paper for the background is a perfect way to start this design. I used a Peaceful Pine card base to frame the entire scene. The smaller layer is framed in Misty Moonlight card stock.

Once you have your layers created you can move on to the details. The chair is stamped then water painted in Smoky Slate ink. With just a little bit of water painting on the chair you can give a nice look with some shadows. Just enough to make it look dimensional instead of flat.

The grasses were very easy to get that two tone look for the grass and some of the tips. I stamped in Old Olive first. The I moved right over to my Pecan Pie pad and touched the tip parts to that pad. Now when you stamp the image you have the two colors! Easy Peasy and it creates a nice look. After die cutting I stamped, punched and popped the sentiment, Alsoi added were a couple of clear gems.

Gems aren't just there to look pretty. Although that is part of it! They also help guide your eyes around the design.

For the inside I was going to use white card stock but then noticed this extra piece of paper from the front. It was a perfect way to bring the design from the front into the inside! I did the grasses again and stamped directly to the paper. Now you have a wonderful card to send to someone special!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
