Seasonal Expressions 1 New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to an extra blog hop by the Stamp of the Month consultants!
Our newest mini catalog: Seasonal Expressions 1 that went live on Jan. 1st and we just wanted to show you some of the new products.

If you've arrived from Priscilla Gotham's blog you're on the right track! Just keep clicking the links at the end of the posts. Click here for a list of participating consultants.

There is an adorable set in the Seasonal Expressions catalog called Spring Creatures! What is really exciting about this set and some others in SE1 are the matching Thin Cuts! These are dies used to cute out an image by running it through a Cuttlbug type matchine. I LOVE Thin Cuts!

With the Thin Cuts you can stamp your image first and then cut or you can cut and then stamp the image. I personally prefer to stamp then cut. The way I keep the die centered over the image is to use a piece of Washi Tape. This will hold the die in place while it goes through the Cuttlebug and peels right off after being cut. In the Cuttlebug I make my plate "sandwich" using plate A, then plate B, the cardstock with die(s) and finally plate C. This has worked very well for me.

To color the frog I used our ShinHan Markers. I colored the entire frog with Leaf Green. To get the lighter tummy I went over the Leaf Green with Pastel Green. There are some accents with Sap Green to give a bit of shadow.

The circle was cut with our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and use for a background to make the from image pop! I also used the Sap Green maker to color the sparkles.
