Since this is such a special Color Dare we are going to invite the Diamond Award Winner for challenge #200 to select colors for a future Color Dare challenge. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? See the end of this post for prize info!
Color My Heart is challenging you with the colors Ruby, Sapphire with Colonial White. If you don't have those exact colors just use something close. Here is what I've created to inspire you. Don't forget to check out our home page for more inspiration!
I decided to keep it simple. I stamped the images in Archival Black ink because I planned to use markers and didn't want it to bleed. Just some touches of the challenge colors and it was done. For the Shimmer Trim the blue was a bit too bright so I used the same blue marker and colored over the Shimmer Trim. This darkened the blue just enough to go better with the Sapphire.
All products are Close To My Heart:
--Enjoy the Ride stamp set
--Colonial White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack
--Ink: Ruby, Sapphire, Archival Black
--Cardstock: Colonial White, Ruby, Sapphire
--ShinHan Markers: Marine Blue, Cherry Pink
--Shimmer Trim: Red, Blue
--Thin 3D Foam Tape
Let's go shopping!
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help!
This blog title says "Prize Alert!" so it's time to explain that.
There are so many terrific Close to My Heart paper products available the Design Team has decided to gift one (or maybe more) lucky winner(s) a choice of one CTMH paper packet from the current Annual Inspirations catalog, upcoming Annual Inspirations catalog or upcoming Holiday Expressions catalog. In order to be eligible for a random draw you must leave a comment on EACH of our Design Team members blog posts for Color Dare #200. There will be one prize awarded for each 10 people who comment on all DT entries so if there are 20 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 2 prizes awarded and if there are 30 people who comment on all DT entries there will be 3 prizes awarded. You will need to click on each DT member's name to get to her blog to leave a comment. Although it is not required to win a prize this week we would love to see what you can create with our challenge colors.
Now it's your turn! Create something with the colors above. Directions on how to join are in the sidebar on our home page. It's a lot of fun and we get you started by choosing the colors! Get together with your crafting friends and have a Color Dare party!
This color dare is open until Thursday at 9:00pm CDT.
Happy Creating!
Michelle
