Don't you just LOVE Friday?!!!!! I sure do because it means a new Color My Heart color dare challenge begins!
In June we're featuring the new paper pack called No Worries. In the weeks leading up to the end of the month we have one or two colors from the pack paired up with other colors. Hopefully this will show you how versatile our color palettes and papers truly are!
Here is the card I made for this week. I colored the flower with ink and a water brush. Using our Watercolor Paper really makes a big difference and helps the colors blend without pilling the paper.I have used all the colors of this color dare on my card. There is a Whisper shadow around the flower and stem. If you look closely you can see it. The flower center is Slate with Clear Shimmer Brush on top. The shine from the flash makes it looks silver. I used a CPS Sketch for my project.
All products are Close To My Heart:
- Stamp Sets: Keep Dreaming, Sending Smiles (Cricut Bundle)
- No Worries paper pack
- Specialty Paper: Watercolor paper, Silver Glitter paper
- Cardstock: Pomegranate, Fern
- Exclusive Inks: Archival Black, Pomegranate, Fern, Slate, Whisper
- Shimmer Brush-Clear
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too!
Now it's your turn to create and share. Make any kind of paper craft you like using the colors of the color dare. If you don't have an exact color you may substitute something close. But don't add any new colors! Full details are in the post on our home page.
Have a great day!
Michelle

Beautiful card! I love the gems in the center of the flower and the silver strip.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cat. The flower centers are actually the Clear Shimmer Pen but photograph like silver gems. LOL
DeleteLove that flower! What a great interpretation of the sketch!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love stamping with the flower images!
DeleteBeautiful card. Wow, I too thought the center of the flowers were the tiny gems...usually glimmer doesn't show up so well in photos. Also like how you snuck in the whisper shadow...a great idea when you don't know how to fit a color into a challenge. Love the watercoloring technique using inks and water pen...really do a nice blending.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sue! As for the shimmer pen, I think it looks like gems because I was a bit heavy handed applying the shimmer. LOL
DeleteBeautifully colored flower! I love the dimension you created with the watercolor inks. Thanks for inspiring me yet again with this gorgeous card.
