Welcome to a new challenge from our team at Color Dare! Every Friday we go live with a new color challenge to get you started on a project. Any paper craft will do. Just be sure to have fun!
For this challenge you need to use at least 2 shades of blue. There are some Free colors you can add. See the graphic for that info.
I love plaids and decided the theme of blues would be a fun way to make a plaid background. I simply inked the stamp in one color and stamped on white cardstock. I then inked it again in my other color, turned the cardstock and stamped to create the plaid! HINT: I just leave the stamp on my glass mat instead of a block. I place the cardstock on top of the inked stamp then gently rub to make sure the ink transfers.
This flower is one of my favorites. The bundle comes with the stamp set, stencils and dies! You can make such beautiful combinations of colors for the Hydrangea. Here it is all dressed up in blues. The stencils and blending brushes make it an easy way to add color.
I popped the flower up on foam to give it some seperation from the background. I added the bow using a couple Glue Dots as I find they secure the fabric of the ribbon well. The rhinestones ass a nice sparkle don't you think?
