Hello! It's Friday and that means a new Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge! This week it's a very different color challenge. You MUST use French Vanilla, Black and Gold. That's it. No other colors. Just those three.
We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have. For this challenge black and gold shouldn't be a problem. To help you with the French Vanilla it's an off white or what you might call a dirty white. Take a look at the photo comparison below to see the two colors together.
I knew I wanted to make a card on the elegant side of things. For Gold I wanted to emboss although there are many other ways to bring the Gold into the project. I also added some sparkle with Black Glitter paper as a frame around the card.
I embossed and trimmed the floral layer to fit inside the frame leaving some space to show the French Vanilla as if it were a mat. I duplicated that look with the die cut circles, too. The black circle it popped up on foam tape with some gold thread tucked underneath. A gold butterfly seemed perfect as an accent as well as a few gold gems.
As you can see here French Vanilla is a softer version of white. There is a distinct difference when you put them together. Seen alone you might think French Vanilla is white. It's that close. But for this challenge we can't use white in place of French Vanilla.
