What's Up Wednesday ~ Blues

Welcome to a new project I'd like to share with you. It's all dressed up in blues....one of my favorite colors!

I started with the Painted Stripes stamp inking it in the darker blue and stamped on white cs. After cleaning I inked with the lighter blue, and stamped over the dark blue stripes creating a bit of an offset. Honestly, I was going to make a plaid but didn't turn my cs the right way so I ended up with this look. As it happens so often it was a happy mistake so I just kept on creating!

I kept the focal image simple by stamping the flower in black then only adding color to the flower with the coordination stamp.

For the ribbon I wrapped it around the cs and anchored with Gluer Dots. That seems to hold the fabric in place better. The I tied another piece of ribbon on the front to make it look finished. This layer is Poppe dup on foam. A few gems and it was done!

This large stamp is so versatile! Ink and stamp as is or create all kind of patterns. Create an Ombre look with graduated ink colors. Whatever you can think of.....give it a try!
Painted Stripes

There are so many pretty parts to this set. I love the main flower and the fact you can stamp color for the flower head. It also has great sentiment.
You Are Remarkable

This is a set I reach for often. Look at all those wonderful sentiments and the different fonts they come in. You need this is you stash!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my pretty card in blues. Come back often for more ideas because it's so fun to share!
