Technique Hop-Base & Bling...with a Twist!

Welcome to our monthly Technique Blog Hop! This month we are featuring ways of using Base & Bling....with a Twist. The twist is to use the Base & Bling any way other than in jewelry!

If you're coming from Joy's blog you're on the right track. Just click the link at the end of the post to continue on the hop!

I decided to use the Base & Bling Style Sheets for my project. The Style Sheets have 32 one inch squares with a picture. When making jewelry you can place one in a pendant tray to make a pretty necklace. BUT, they also are great for cards and other paper crafts, too!

Here is a photo of the Storyteller Style Sheet. Lots of great pictures from pretty backgrounds to focal images!

On my card I used three of the images! I matted and popped two of them. I also did some dry embossing and added some bitty sparkles.

All products are Close To My Heart:
--Storyteller Style Sheet
--Juniper cardstock
--Stylus and paper trimmer for dry embossing
--Bitty Sparkles
--3D Foam

Next I wanted to use the Dreamer Style Sheet with it's bright colors and images for a totally different feel!

This is how it turned out. I added some Washi Tape, Bitty Sparkles and Sequins as embellishments. Very quick and easy!

All products are Close To My Heart:
--Dreamer Style Sheet
--Cardstock: White Daisy, Juniper, Sorbet
--Lagoon Washi Tape
--Sequins from the Lollydoodly Workshop on the Go
--Bitty Sparkles

Now it's time to see what Terry has to share over on her blog!

Thanks for joining us on the hop. I hope we've inspired you to try Base & Bling...with a Twist!

Have a great day!

  4. Great cards. Thanks for the inspiration. As usual these hops make me need to buy something I didn't think I needed.
