October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome! If you've arrived from Cindy Leek's blog you're on the right path! Our hop this month features a set called Holiday Magic. You's not too early to start thinking of those holiday stamping projects!

This holiday card is simple and oh so cute! The papers are from our Roxie kit ... LOVE IT!! The stocking is stamped in Desert Sand and the cuff was cut from The same plaid Roxie paper as the background. I curved the message slightly so it could be stamped along the stocking. A touch of our new Red Glitz Glitter Gel and a Licorice Pearl were the final touches!

Now this holiday card uses one of the pretty tree images from Holiday Magic. The paper is from the Sonoma kit. A bit of layering in Cocoa and Bamboo on the tree with an angle cut to parallel the side of the tree leaves a bit more space for a message. The stamped border is actually the image for the runners on the sleigh! I added some Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel for sparkle, too.

This is what the entire set looks like. There are SO many great images it's hard to decide which one to use first! But be sure to give them all a try!

Don't forget this set is only available Oct. 1-31, 2011. Click here to order yours now!

Next up is Amy McVey's blog. Go check out her idea for this set!

Happy Hopping

  1. Love how you used non-traditional papers for these cards!

  2. Great choice of papers! Never would have thought Sonoma and Christmas. Love it!

  3. Love them both, but the tree card steals the show. Love how you followed the line of the tree with the cut of the paper and using the base of the sleigh for the edge of the card. Great Idea!

  4. Love the stocking! It looks great with those colors, and the red glitz is such a nice finishing touch.

  5. Oh I love the lines in your tree card! Unique and creative! Both are darling!!

  6. Roxie is an awesome choice! love it!

  7. Great work! I love the text following the contour of your images.
