Snowman Shaker Card

What a cute shaker card! It's based on a card created by Joyce Beenes seen at our Regional Seminar in St. Louis. I loved the card so much I had to "lift" the idea and give it a try myself.

This is a 7"x 5" side fold card. First I got the Cricut warmed up and cut a circle in the front of the card using the Center Point button. I then stamped one of the snowman images from the Flakey Friends stamp set on the inside of the card so it would be seen through the hole on the card front. They are SO cute and have great "go with" images, too. Next I used our new alcohol markers to give the little guy some color (Sky and Gypsy). Time to cut out some snowflakes! Boy those Cricut Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges make life GREAT! A little stamping on the Cricut snowflakes for a touch of detail is all it needed. Now, you need a hole in the middle of the large snowflake....Cricut to the rescue! Boy that Center Point button comes in handy! The smaller snowflake comes with it's own center hole already so that saved a step! Open the card and place the Treat Cup face down in the hole on the front of the card. The opening on the Treat Cup should be on the inside of the card. Now put a bit of Prisma Glitter in the Treat Cup then carefully pull the strip off to reveal the adhesive. Carefully close the card  and press around the hole. This will line up the Treat Cup over the snowman for you. For extra stick to keep in the glitter, I ran a thin bead of Liquid Glass around the edge of the Treat Cut and a bit on the rim, too. Place the smaller snowflake over the Treat Cup and press into the Liquid Glass. On the front of the card use adhesive and place the large snowflake over the Treat Cup. I also cut a small ring of cardstock to fit around the cup and cover an small gaps. Place a piece of our new Silver Shimmer Trim along the bottom and the message layers go right above that! Some Silver Glitz Glitter Gel dotted on and around the snowflake adds another sparkle to the look! What a fun card! If mailing you'll need a padded envelope, but what a fun card to get in the mail!

Give it a try! You'll LOVE the Snowman Shaker Card!

Happy Stamping
Michelle
