Snowflake Card ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #495

 Welcome to our new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! This week we're pairing our challenge with the folks at Double Trouble Challenge. How fun is that! All you need to do is use our sketch plus at least one of the options for Double Trouble. Details are below. I'm working on Christmas Cards for my Annual Workshop and this card works for both challenges. 

I love doing cards in fun colors especially with snowflakes. This card used the colors Periwinkle, Wisteria and Ballerina in both Cardstock and Exclusive Inks. The stamp set is a retired set but you can create this look with any snowflake set such as our current Floral Snowflakes Stamp Set + Thin Cuts. 

I splattered the background with Shimmer Brushes in Wisteria and Clear. As you can see I also did some tone on tone stamping with other images from the set. 

The snowflake itself is the star of the card. It was stamped on white cardstock and cut out with the coordinating Thin Cut dies. Then the die was used to cut the snowflake from Vellum paper. The Vellum was layered on top of the stamped snowflake offsetting the points. 

A dot of Stickles Glisten to the center of the snowflake and in the background. The snowflake and sentiment are popped up on Thin Foam Tape adding some dimension to the overall look.

For the pairing with Double Trouble I used circles in the shape of the layered snowflake, the Stickles in the center of the flake and splattered in the background.
