HI and welcome! This post is my first attempt at a Twisted Ribbon card. I've been seeing beautiful examples and just had to give it a try!
As my first attempt I am ok with how it turned out BUT will make a few adjustments on my next attempt. I would create more of a contrast between the colors in the ribbon layers and the background. the piece with the circles just doesn't stand out as much as I hoped. I will also try making my strips a bit wider. Here they are 1/2" wide. I'd like to try 1" wide.
So to make this panel I made pencil marks 1/2" apart along the sides of the White Daisy cardstock. As I mentioned the pattern strips are 1/2" wide and wide enough to be a bit longer than the base cardstock. After that it's really quite simple. I laid the purple strips on the cardstock angling between the pencil marks. On top of that I laid the pattern strips angling them the opposite way between the pencil marks. It looks complicated but is easy to do. Stay tuned for more samples of this technique!
