Sneak Peek ~ Color Dare #554

This week our Color Dare team is sharing a Tic Tac Toe challenge. Pick your colors by row, column or diagonal. After that you can use any or all of the other colors in the grid. See the graphic below for the fine print.

Make any paper project you like. When you're ready to join our challenge click here for the direct link to Color Dare #554.

With this card I'm giving you a sneak peek at one of our new stamp sets in the July-Aug mini catalog that goes live on July 1st.

My colors are from the first column: Melon, Wisteria and Harbour. The design is an inspiration from a card by Jeanie Burch.

This is an easy card even though it has a lot of details. The seahorse is stamped in Wisteria Exclusive Inks then painted with Clear Shimmer Brush. There is random stamping in Melon. The sentiment is stamped in Harbour Exclusive Ink. That's all the stamping, the rest is just layers!

The layers under the seahorse use both sides of Wisteria cardstock. The White Daisy (seahorse layer) and Harbour cardstock both have scissor distressed edges. The final touch was a piece of Gold Glitter Paper.

Other products used for this card:

Techniques:
  • Random Stamping
  • Distressing

The Clear Shimmer is all over the seahorse but it's hard to photograph. Here you get the idea with the bottom of the seahorse.

If you need a Maker (consultant) I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a Maker I'd love to have you on my team!

  1. Yes, it's always difficult to show shimmer... my daughter tells me she'll usually do the card laying down for best photo of glitter. Nice layout and how you used the stamping on the bottom of the card for the sea below. Love the soft color choice.
