Hey! This week we are pairing our Color Dare with the Design Team at Double Trouble! Don't worry, it's not going to be hard to meet requirements for both challenges.
For our color challenge you need to use at least THREE of the colors in our graphic. Take a look at the graphic for the fine print rules. The biggest rule is that you can't add new colors to your project.
We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready use the link under our graphic to go directly to Color Dare #586.
For the Double Trouble Challenge the rules are to use something Valentine and/or Things that fly. See their graphic below for the rules and a link to their challenge.
I went with the Valentine idea and used our colors of Periwinkle, Ballerina and Jade. The stamp set is our Gorgeous February Stamp of the Month: Say It with Flowers. You can get it with or without Thin Cut Dies, too!
What a pretty bouquet to give for Valentine's Day. I kept the colors on the soft side by using a Waterbrush picking up ink from the stamp pad lid. To get ink on the lid just squeeze the pad a few times before opening it up.
I love how the papers pick up the color theme. I also used a pattern from our How-to Book Volume 6. It's pattern #23. Our How-to Books have samples, cutting and placement guides to help you get it just right. It's also a good way to get started and then add your own twists.
I used a Blending Brush to add some ink behind the popped up flowers. Some Sparkles and Hearts and it was done! See the full list of products used below.
