Pretty Floral Card ~ Color Dare #647

Welcome to a new Color Dare Challenge! This challenge is about TWO colors that  need to be used in your project. See the graphic for the two colors and more info about free colors you can add. Do not use any colors other than what is shown in the graphic.

This is not my usual style but it's good to step out of your comfort zone once in a while. With the colors and the design I'm am definitely out of my zone. Haha.

I started with stamping and fussy cutting the flower. It was easy to color the flower as there is an outline image and images to fill in the outline. Quick and easy you have a stamped and colored in flower! The flower is popped up with foam.

Hint: I didn't have any embellishments in the orange color that would match closely enough. Instead I used clear rhinestones and colored them with a marker. The color turns out a little lighter so you may have to use a darker color to get the tone you want. This is a great way to get embellishments in the color you want for your project!

Using a die and both colors of cardstock I got what you see in the photo below. I used the small pieces to create the look on the left of the card. I saved the other for a future project. Sometime you need to look at the "scraps" to use in your design.

  1. Like how you used some of the negative scraps from the background die for another card. Nice layout and beautiful card.
