How about a new color challenge from our team at Color Dare? The week we have 3 colors for you and you must use at least 2 of them The colors are shown in the graphic along with the fine print rules. Take a look below.
When I sat down to create a project for this challenge I imagined something very different than this shaker card. Haha..it happens so I just went with it. As I was creating the card ideas were popping into my head and I worked them into the design. Thank goodness it all came together nicely. *whew
The Gallery Blooms Bundle is one of my current favorites. I used markers to color the flowers. The leaves were left uncolored because the challenge didn't allow any green for leaves.
I used the frame die from the bundle then embossed it. I love the partial texture on the frame.
Construction of the shaker element. Once I had all the pieces cut and prepped I started putting it all together.
- The flowers were tucked both behind and in front of the frame.
- Next I added the window sheet I trimmed to fit the back of the frame.
- The Foam Adhesive Strips were applied around the back of the frame making sure to not have any gaps for the sequins to leak out of.
- I stamped the sentiment on the card front using the frame piece as a guide for placement,
- Now it's time to sprinkle the sequins on the card front.
- Carefully peel the backing off the foam strips and place the frame onto the card front.
- As a final touch I added some ribbon along the fold.
- Now you have a shaker card!
