What's Up Wednesday ~ Fun Fold Card

Welcome and get ready for a fun project! It's a Fun Fold Card inspired by fellow SU Demonstrator Susan Campfield. I just love the presentation of this design and how you can stand it up for display.

I just got out my Fall papers and did double duty with a post for today and of a team challenge theme of a Thanksgiving Card. The papers are gorgeous and the photo doesn't do it justice. There are gold lines to accent the leaves and other patterns in the pack. it adds a stunning element to the patterns.

Here are the dimensions for this card:

Base: 4-1/4" x 11". Score at 1-1/4" one and 4-1/4" at the opposite end. Strip: 1-3/4" x 5-1/4". Inside white strip is 4-1/4" by width needed for your sentiment. For the front tag size it to your sentiment.

DSP on front is 4" x 4". Embossed layer on front is 3/4" x 4", inside 5-1/4" x 4".

See....I told you it was easy and now you even have the dimensions I used. You can go with any theme or style you like with this Fun Fold.

The sentiment tag on the front is only adhered to the plaid layer. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure it on the right end of the tag.

On the inside there is a bit of magic happening. When you open the card it becomes a kind of easel style card. The top flap folds in allowing the plaid layer to set against the sentiment strip popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals going across the bottom of the card. I added a piece of plaid embossed CS on the inside for some eye appeal and to continue the look for the front. A few embellishments on the front tag was all it needed to finish it off!

Look at all the fun in this stamp set! I only used sentiments for this card but can't wait to dive deeper into using images. I also have the coordinating dies and will put those to use soon, too!

Gathering Moments Stamp Set

These papers are gorgeous! with that touch of gold I mentioned it really gives a rich look to the patterns. Photos just don't show it off properly!

Gathering Together 12"x12" DSP

These dies are one of my go to sets in my stash. They are beyond practical and have really nice designs on each die. Be sure to check them out as I know you'll want them in your stash, too!

Textured Notes Dies

Another favorite in my stash is this plaid embossing folder. I love plaids and this created one very versatile pattern. You can do so much by using is plain, adding colors, using on pattern paper, etc.

Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder

These little gems were a perfect touch for this card. It picked up the dark brown tones perfectly. The added bonus is the etched pattern!

I hope you give this Fun Fold card a try! It's easy and makes a nice statement when you open and stand it up!
