Velvet Meadow Card ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #685

Sometimes all of us crafters need a little help getting the creativity going. Our sketch challenge can be just what you need! Every Monday we give you a sketch to create with. You can do what you like with it: flip, flop, twist, turn, etc. We just need to be able to see the sketch in your design. 

The sketch goes like n Monday and our blog opens for entries on Wednesday. Let your creativity go as you use our sketch. We love seeing what you create! Have fun!  

My project is a card and it stayed pretty true to the sketch. Ad I got out the Velvet Meadow DSP pack I came across this pattern. Sometime you can let the beautiful papers do the "heavy lifting" for you! 

This paper is gorgeous! Parts of the design are flocked which adds a wonderful texture to your project. The tiny white flowers in the main layer are flocked and in the background the white leaf outlines are flocked. I love that about this paper pack!

I trimmed a section of the DSP to mimic the sketch focal layer. The Peaceful Pine mat works well as a mat and give dimension. 

For the sentiment I stamped on DSP. It didn't stand out enough so I used a marker to ink the edges and popped it up on Dimensionals. The ribbon knot was just enough of an accent and I could easily keep it small. 

I added some sparkle to the flower center using Wink of Stella. It's hard to photograph but you can kind of see it on the flower in the upper left. As I mentioned, the tiny white flowers are flocked and you get a bit more of an idea how it looks in this photo.
