Shades of Pink ~ Color Dare #698

Welcome to another challenge from our team at Color Dare! Every Friday we give you a palette of colors to design with. There are some Free colors you can also use BUT do not add any colors beyond that. Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join our challenge use the link below our graphic.

This Color Dare Challenge is all about pink! use shades of pink with ONE color of your choice. Your color of choice should not be one of the Free colors.

As I was going to sleep last night I was thinking about what to create with pink. that's when I do some of my best designing! How about you? Anyway, I remembered the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape had pinks with green. Right there I had my pinks with one color of choice!

The next morning I'm at my desk putting my idea together. I decided I needed some texture and looked through my embossing folders. I decided on the stripes to keep things from becoming too busy but still get the texture I wanted.

Using the Washi Tape is easy. I put it one white CS then used the coordinating dies to cute out all the flowers at once! You can also layer the tape onto colored CS, too, to get a different look!

Now it was time to put it all together. Since I already had the flowers die cut from before that saved some time. My card base is Strawberry Slush. I left some space on the outside for that pretty pink to frame the rest of the card front. I had originally thought I'd line each edge of the white with die cut flowers. Once I started laying them on the card I decided just one side was more than enough. That left a nice area for my sentiment layer without things feeling too crowded. the circle is from an ephemera pack and just happened to be on my desk. Lucky! I added some ribbon and gems on the popped up circle.

The inside of the card is simple. White space for writing a personal message and my few remaining flowers to accent.

How do you like my efforts for Shades of Pink + 1 color of choice? I'm very pleased with how it turned out! Now it's your turn to create and share for our challenge. We love seeing how our colors inspire you!
