CTMH Technique Hop - Embossing is Back!

Welcome to our monthly technique hop! This month we are featuring Embossing. If you've arrived from Di Crawford's blog then you're on the right path. Just keep clicking the links to keep hopping!

There are two kinds of embossing: heat and dry. Dry embossing is when you press a pattern into the cardstock such as using a folder and a Cuttlebug type machine.

I chose to do heat embossing for this hop. Heat embossing requires embossing or pigment ink, embossing powder and a heat tool. What you see here are flowers inked in pigment ink and embossed with clear powder. Then I added some color to the petals with a blending pen and lifting ink from the lid of the stamp pad.

All products are Close To My Heart:
--Stamp Sets: Wavy Blooms, Just To Say (Cricut Col.)
--Blossom paper pack
--White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack
--Pigment Inks: Pear, Smoothie, Sunset, Glacier, Lagoon
--Inks: Pear, Smoothie, Sunset, Glacier, Lagoon
--Embossing: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
--Embellishments: Sequins-Coral Reef, Oceanside, Bitty Sparkles, Glacier Extra Thick Twine, Boardwalk Washi Tape, 3D Foam

I'd love to be your consultant!

Now it's time to see what Judy Faye Garner has to inspire us!
