Color Dare - Lagoon, Pear & Buttercup

Welcome to the Color Dare using Lagoon, Pear and Buttercup.
Such a fun, happy trio of colors!
This Color Dare also marks my first as a member of the Design Team!

I had a lot of fun making this card. To make the background I used reinkers and a straw. Starting with Buttercup I squeezed a drop onto the cardstock then gently blew with a straw. I continued with Pear and then Lagoon. Just keep trying until you get the look you want! There was some drying time involved since this is a pretty wet technique. But I was still able to create the rest of the card while the wet layer was drying.

The little flowers and arrows are from the Trinket Wooden Shapes pack. You also see a scattering of clear sparkles and some of the new Green Glitter Paper. The scallops were made with our new 3/8" scallop border punch.

In the upper right corner I used a new stamp set called Washi Wonder. This is a really...and I mean REALLY cool stamp set! There are 24 different images of Washi tapes in a variety of patterns, sizes, with and without words! Now here is what makes this set so special: its one of the new Hostess Rewards Stamp Sets! This select group of stamp sets is only available for Hostesses with a qualifying gathering (online or in home). The sets are deeply discounted for purchase with Hostess Credits! Contact me to set up your gathering now!

Now go see what other ideas were inspired in this Color Dare!

Happy Creating!
Michelle

  2. This is a very interesting technique. It almost looks enameled. I would have never guessed how you did that! Great card... I like how you used the colors and how you tied them in together.
