Hollyhock and Indian Corn Blue Color Dare

Welcome to this week's Color My Heart Color Dare!

If you're new to our weekly color dare, check it out here!
So this week I used Hollyhock and Indian Corn Blue with a couple of our new M sized stamps. It's a little sneak peek from our Spring Summer Idea Book going live Feb. 1st!

The images are stamped in black ink and colored with our watercolor pencils. After I was finished with the pencils I used a water brush to gently go over the penciled areas. This also helped create the ombre look on the word Hi. It's hard to see in the photo, but there are little spots of hollyhock and Indian Corn Blue ink spritzed from a spray pen with a little water. The little pink dots are new and called Flamingo Dots.

This photo shows how I cut about 3/4's of the way around each balloon. This allowed me to place a small piece of 3D Foam tape behind each balloon to give it just a little bit of a 3D look.

Now, click here to check out the other creations being shared this week at Color My Heart. Then get out your supplies to create your own entry!

Happy Stamping!
Michelle

  1. I love your bright and cheery card and how you lifted up part of the balloons--very clever! You've just made me move this adorable stamp onto my "must have" list.

  3. Love how you added the balloon stamp to the Hi stamp. Lifting a portion of the balloons is genius!
