Color Dare #80--Ruby, Sunset, Cotton Candy

Aren't these pretty colors to put together! I decided to use one of our NEW Hostess Rewards stamp sets called, A Mother's Love. In each Idea Book there is a special selection of stamp sets a Hostess can choose to use their Rewards on. These stamp sets are discounted and a great deal…..and only available to Hostesses!

As you can see, I used the Cotton Candy as my base on some of the flowers, but on a couple of them I used 2nd generation Sunset. The detail stamp was inked in Ruby. The vase was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. To give it a bit of dimension, I use my gray watercolor pencil to color in some shadows. Then I lightly went over it with a water pen. It's subtle, but it really helps. The message is from the Holiday Tags stamp  set…which is a big "go to" set for me!

A bit of bling was added with some sparkles and a strip of Pink Glitter paper and our scallop punch!

Now check out the other great ideas over at Color My Heart. We do a weekly challenge so come and join us!

Happy Stamping!

  2. Very pretty card, Michelle! You just made me put that hostess stamp set on my list of must haves. Thanks for explaining how you colored the vase--it works really well.
