July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Life is Wonderful

Hello and welcome to the July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
If you've hopped over from Vicki Price's blog you're on the right path! Just click the link at the end of the post to continue on the hop!

Even though this set is perfect for scrapbooking I decided to make a card to show some versatility. The great thing about scrapping vs card making is that the stamping ideas can easily be used either way. If you see a card image but want to scrapbook, just add to the image to make it a bit bigger or fill more space for a layout. You can do just the opposite if going from a layout to a card!

So, I warmed up my Cricut and cut out the iris for the front of the card. Rather than leave it plain, I backed it with some purple and green Glitter Paper. It gives such a nice, sparkly look! I layered it on a piece of Gypsy cardstock keeping a narrow look.  Next I stamped the message and accented with some clear sparkles. Gotta love sparkles! Hint: when you want to attach glitter paper to another item use little dots of Liquid Glass as your adhesive. It will stick much better this way!

Since I had this pretty little iris cut out I didn't want it to go to waste. I used our markers to color it and put it on the inside of the card along with the rest of the message.

Life is Wonderful is only available from July 1-31, 2015. You can purchase at full price ($17.95) or get it for only $5 with a qualifying purchase!
