Look at these pretty colors! So soft and fun! It's time for a new Color Dare from the
Design Team at Color My Heart!
I had fun inking up a NEW stamp set from the Annual Inspirations Book that just went live on Aug. 1st. Everyone should have a good balloon stamp set in your collection. It can cover SO many occasions for card making and scrapbooking! I stamped 3 balloons on the background and used 3D Foam tape on 2 balloons for some depth. I stamped the balloon strings to the gathered
into a bouquet.
Now, do you see that shimmer on the balloons? That is our NEW Shimmer Brush and it's incredible! It looks a lot like a Water Pen but instead of water it "paints" a soft shimmer. Can you say WOW! Another couple techniques are stamp rolling on the balloons. Ink the image and stamp on scrap paper. Then ink the image again by just rolling the image on the ink pad. Now stamp on your cardstock. The third technique I used is dry embossing. Along the bottom you can see 3 embossed lines. It's hard to see but there are also 3 embossed lines on the left side, too. I used my Dry Embossing Tool and my Paper Trimmer for the lines. Line up your cardstock on the paper trimmer and gently use the tool to "draw" a line in the track. You can have the embossed line be a positive or negative line depending on the way you place your cardstock on the trimmer.

Love your shimmer pens...I was at a coloring crop last weekend and someone had them. Also, nice idea about the lines using a scoring tool...gives an elegance to the card.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, you did an awesome job showcasing the techniques in your card! The balloons look realistic!
