Scrapbooking with Chelsea Gardens

I just can't get enough of this beautiful paper pack! Chelsea Gardens is good for crafting in many ways. It has an first impression of being for girls, but take a close look at the patterns in the paper and you'll see it works for boys, too! That's the great thing about our Close To My Heart papers being double sided. Many of the patterns are neutral and will mix with any other patterns! You can find Chelsea Gardens and many other new products in our Seasonal Expressions 1 book.

This lovely layout is soft and pretty with the muted colors and flowers. The flowers and leaves were stamped and fussy cut and some are popped up with a bit of Thin 3D Foam Tape. The journaling piece is from the Picture My Life cards that are included with the paper pack. The other embellishments are from the Chelsea Gardens Compliments and the coordinating Dots & Gems.

Tip 1: Since I didn't have the photos ready to add when making the layout I had to plan ahead with some of the embellishments. The part of the flowers and leaves that will overlap the photo was left free of adhesive so I can just slip the photo under it.

Tip 2: The butterfly on the left page also overlaps a photo but the butterfly is a sticker from the Compliments. I shook a bit of baby powder on the right side of the butterfly to get rid of the sticky! Now only the left side of the butterfly is stuck to the page and a photo can easily slip under the right edge.
