October Stamp of the Month Hop ~ Thanks & Giving

The first of the month means it's time to share the Stamp of the Month for October called Thanks & Giving. This is a blog hop which means there is one big circle of blogs for you to check out. If you've come from Katy Taylor's blog you're doing fine. Just click the links in each blog to hop to the next one in the circle.

Thanks & Giving is a set of 16 images and sentiments. You'll have a lot of fun creating all kinds of projects with this set! I decided to make a card using a few of the images and a pattern from our Make It from Your Heart Vol. 4 how-to book. This is an excellent way to create or just get started on a project. All the info you need is right there, finished sample and cutting guide are right there for you. Copy as is or make adjustments to give it your own spin!

The Stamp of the Month set is only available in the month it's featured. That means Thanks & Giving is available from Oct. 1-31st then it's gone, gone, gone! So get your's now and start creating wonderful things!

Notice the circles on my card. They were cut using the Thin Cuts Basic Circles and Stitched Circles. These sets are sized to work very well together! I purposely offset the circles to create a different look rather than centering them together. The flowers were colored with a ShinHan Marker. To make the color a bit softer I used the Colorless Blender Marker after the Lt. Orange Marker.

See photos at end of post for a look at papers and Thin Cuts.

Note: the ShinHan Markers are alcohol markers and bleed through the cardstock. I planned on gluing a piece of cardstock to the inside top of the card to cover the bleed through from the card front. What I forgot about was that there would be marks left on the inside bottom of the card, too! Fortunately I was able to make that work for me by stamping a couple of flowers among the marks making them look like accents! Ta-da!
