This post is a double challenge! I'm doing the Double Trouble Challenge of using stitches of some kind and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. It's a lot of fun to combine challenges when you can fit all the requirements!
I did a nice CAS style for my card. The stamping is very simple since it was done in just black ink. I used the impact of the papers to create a big feel for the card. The center of the flower is filled with Pearls for a dimensional look. I love the plaid paper framed in the glitter paper. There is stitching on the frame and the die cut circle.
The flower comes from the Operation Smile stamp set. With each purchase Close To My Heart donates $7 to their cause. Operation Smile does surgeries all over the world for children with cleft palates and other facial issues. A truly worthy cause!
- Stamp Set: Wishing You Everything + Thin Cut Dies (sentiments)

Such a pretty card... the red scalloped circle looks like it is some sort of pearl paper. Very cute :)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being our Crazy Cousin this month. Love the simplicity of your card and interpretation of the first AHSC sketch and the pop of red in the middle of your flower. The sneak peek on the second card was a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne. I'm having fun being the Crazy Cousin this month!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, Michelle! I really like how you turned the plaid at an angle, and how the scalloped mat matches the color in the plaid! Great job! Good to have you aboard for November at Double Trouble!!! -Donna
