Doodled Florals Card ~ Color Dare #455

Welcome to a new color challenge from our Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare. Each Friday we give you a new two week challenge to create with using any paper craft you like. We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. Full details can be found on our home page.

For this challenge you must use the color yellow with two colors of your choice. Black and White are free to use but do not count as one of the two colors. For my card I used yellow, pink and green with black and white.

This card was inspired by fellow Maker Becca Whitham. She made a set of cards for our New Product Blog Hop and I couldn't wait to recreate her cards! I basically used the same design idea for this card and just changed the colors to fit this color challenge.

The flowers were stamped in Intense Black ink because I was going to use marker to color them and didn't want the ink to bleed. Our TriBlend Markers are fantastic!!! There are three shades in each marker making blending super easy. I only used three markers to color all the images on this card!

Here is a close-up of the card. I painted the flowers with a Clear Shimmer Brush but it's hard to get it to show in a photo. The yellow and pink spatters were made with shimmer brushes tapped against my finger. The flowers are popped up on foam tape for some dimension. A bit of yellow ink was sponged onto the card to highlight the sentiment.
