Strong Roots - July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! The first of each month our group of talented Makers share artwork featuring the exclusive stamp set available only that month.

The hop is one big circle so just click on the links in each post. It's that easy! The blog before mine is Melinda Everitt. Sit back and enjoy all the great ideas for the Strong Roots Stamp of the Month Set! Click here for a list of all participants.

I made a card with this set and love how it turned out. I used a pattern from our new Make It from Your Heart How-to Book Volume 5, Pattern 22. With photos, cutting guides and placement guides it makes crafting easy. Plus, there are patterns for layouts and cards!

I used a Circle Thin Cut die to cut the circle in the Wood Grain Paper. The image was stamped using Intense Black ink so it wouldn't bleed when I used the water brush. It was done on a piece of white cardstock just big enough to fit behind the circle.

The image was colored with Watercolor Pencils then a Water Brush was used to blend it together. I added the keys to the outside of the circle for some dimension along with some pretty sequins.
