Make It Shine ~ September Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly Technique Blog Hop. This month we are featuring techniques that make your projects SHINE! This could be done in a variety of ways and I'm sure you'll see a lot of different things on this hop. So sit back and relax. It's going to be fun!

The blog before mine is Katy Taylor. Just click the link in each post to hop to the next blog. Easy, right!

I had this idea floating around my head before my stamp set arrived. I was excited to get busy creating it and seeing how it look for real. I love it! I've created "shine" in a couple different ways: glitter paper, shimmer brush and glitter gel.

I started by making a background with the Glitter Gel and a palette knife. I just smeared it across the cardstock to create the look of a beautiful, starry night.

The angel and cloud were colored with markers adding just a touch of color. The angel is popped up with a  bit of foam tape and all the images were painted with a Clear Shimmer Brush.

The final step was to frame with card front with some Ballerina Glitter paper. It has just a hint of pink to it and works perfectly with the angel colors.
