Friday means it's time for a new Color My Herat Color Dare Challenge! This week we're using the colors in a photo for inspiration. Pick at least 3 colors you see in the photo to create any paper craft you like. Black and White are free colors.
I made a pinwheel card using Red, Orange, Cream and Grey from the photo. Making the Pinwheel part of the card is easy. Start with 2 pieces of cardstock 2 5/8" square and glue them together to form the base of the Pinwheel.
The pattern papers are 1 1/4" square. The first one is glued down only on the right side of the square (you need the left free for later.) Start layering the squares on top of each other placing the corner in each corner of the base. When you get to the last square slip it under the first square to complete the pattern. Finish it off with something in the middle. I used this wood button then painted it with a shimmer brush.
The background pattern has a subtle pattern that looks like brush strokes. It gives texture without overpowering the main part of the card.
