Don't you just love the new colors we have for Fall! Papaya is one of my new favorites, I think!
For our latest Tic Tac Toe Challenge we have some beautiful colors that come from the Pumpkin Spice Paper Pack. Pick your colors by row, column or diagonal. After that if you want to use some of the other colors go ahead. Just don't add any new colors to the grid.
We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. Make any paper craft you like then use the link in the post on our home page to join the challenge.
I made a pretty birthday card with all the colors, although I concentrated on the first column of colors plus Gold. I covered the card base with Papaya cardstock. I used our new Gilt Gloss Spray but didn't spray it on the card front. I unscrewed the cap and tapped the tube over the card front. Then I added an angled piece of the pattern paper. I wanted a more defined edge to that paper so I used an embossing pen along the edge, sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and heat set it. Now you can see a nice finished edge that goes with the spatters! The sentiment is stamped in a new color: Harbour.

Very pretty, love your embossing on the edge which defines the edge against the papaya background and the splattering technique used. I'm always afraid to do splattering without a stamp for fear I will ruin my card; then I see so many others just splatter and it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne!
DeleteFabulous card Michelle. I love the Papaya colour too, so bold! And the gold splatters give a fantastic effect. I love the autumn paper too and it all just ties together so nicely. X
